 Strawberries

We grow 8 different varieties of strawberries which are available at various times during the season. Each variety has it’s own unique flavour and characteristics. The mainstay of our season is the Symphony variety, which has a superb sweet flavour and is a good all rounder. Other varieties are: Vibrant, Cupid, Elegance, Malwina, Sonata and Marshmallow.

Raspberries

We grow 2 different varieties of Raspberries – Glen Ample and Cascade Delight – which are both very popular for freezing, jamming and eating fresh! Raspberries are usually ready 2-3 weeks into the season.

Gooseberries

Our gooseberry variety Invictor is yearly becoming more popular – good for puddings, pies, wine and they freeze very well. Just watch your fingers – they bite!

Tayberries

Tayberries are a raspberry x blackberry hybrid. With a unique flavour, very popular with jam makers.

Blackcurrants

Not for the fainthearted picker – bring a stool they take a while! But your patience will be well rewarded by the gorgeous tasting versatile fruit!

Redcurra

Redcurrants should be picked in bunches like grapes – a fantastic addition to your favourite summer puddings!

Blackberries

Ready towards the end of the season, these cultivated blackberries are larger, plumper and tastier than the wild varieties you find.

New potatoes

Freshly dug each morning our potatoes are famous for their excellent taste – the closest you’ll get to growing your own in the garden!
